I'm surrounded by hillbillies (people) who hunt deer, fish and wear camouflage, year-round.
And I hate it.
But....
It's confession time.
Every Tuesday night, I tune in to the Discovery Channel and watch Alaska: The Last Frontier.
Why?
Because it's freaking awesome...Duh!
I've always had an obsession with Alaska, but I've never seen it the way I do when I watch this show that's based on a family, the Kilchers.
These people (like the hillbillies of FL) hunt for deer and fish. But they do it to survive, not for the sport of it.
These folks come together and form a team. Each has a sort of specialty. The main goal is to survive the long winter season. They need enough food to last this stretch of time.
And I'm addicted to watching them pull it off!
These are regular people, with potty mouths like me. I get rather excited when they're in the middle of hunting down a bear, repairing fences, reeling in fish the size of their leg, using the outhouse-whatever it is that they do-in the most down to earth and sometimes hilarious way.
So there. I said it. I'm addicted to this show.
Oh! And I have a crush on Eiven. He makes putting a chicken on the chopping block look sexy.
Yee Haw!
Day Ten
